Meet the Staff

 

Mike Wood, Senior Minister

Mike began his ministry at Bethany as Senior Minister on January 4, 2015. He earned a BA in Christian Ministries and a MA in Practical Ministries from Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary (now Cincinnati Christian University.) He and his wife, Joni, have two grown children: Lindsay and Garrett, and 3 grandchildren. Mike and Joni enjoy outdoor activities, reading, and travel. They've been to China and Italy and on numerous mission trips to Haiti. They even completed the 'Krispy Kreme Challenge'!

Elisabeth Latimer, Children/Youth Minister

​

Originally from Sharpsburg, Elisabeth moved to Carrollton in 2007 to attend the University of West Georgia where she graduated with her degree in English. Having served in varying capacities within children’s ministry for many years, she is currently the Youth and Children’s Minister at Bethany Christian Church. Her greatest desire is that all children would come to know Christ and understand how loved they are. She lives in Carrollton with her husband, John. When not at church, Elisabeth can most likely be found at their farm, gardening, baking, horseback riding, and spending time with her many animals.
